Swami Samarth Solar & Electrical Services ("we", "our", "us") operates the Swami Samarth Solar & Electrical Services website, customer portal, vendor portal and the Swami Samarth Solar mobile application (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
Account information. Name, phone number, email address and login credentials, provided when we create your account or when you contact us. Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes.
Solar system & service information. Details of your solar installation (capacity, panels, installation address), service requests, complaints, service visit records, invoices and AMC contracts.
Location data (with your permission). The app requests location access only while you are using it, for two specific features: (1) customers can verify the exact location of their solar plant so our engineers can reach the right spot; (2) our service engineers' visit check-in/check-out and attendance are recorded with GPS to confirm on-site presence. We do not track location in the background.
Photos (with your permission). Service engineers capture before/after photographs of work and attendance selfies through the app. These are used solely for service quality records and attendance verification.
We use this information to operate and improve the Services: scheduling and completing service visits, resolving complaints, generating invoices and AMC schedules, verifying attendance of our field staff, sending service notifications, and providing customer support. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Your information is visible only to our authorised staff and, where your system was sold through a channel partner, to that partner — limited strictly to their own customers. We may disclose information when required by law.
Data is retained for as long as your account or service relationship is active, and as required for legal and accounting purposes. Access is protected by role-based permissions, login authentication (with optional email OTP), and audit logging.
You may decline location or camera permissions — related features (plant-location verification, GPS check-in, photo capture) simply won't be available. You can request a copy of, a correction to, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us; we will action account-deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legally required records.
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
